Participants
Present: Nick Baker, Jim Barnes, Sandra Cherry, Art Dietz, Elyse
Hensley, Andrea Morris, Sally Reisz, Gail Richardson, Ruth Robins, Meg Scharre,
Jonathan Smith, Jeff Webb.
Absent:
Laina Brown, Jerry Lyndrup.
Art Dietz called the meeting to
order at 9:10 a.m. and offered an opening prayer.
Appointment of Secretary Pro
Tempore
Jim Barnes was appointed Secretary
Pro Tempore.
Motion: Nick Baker moved that the vestry recess and reconvene in
Executive Session for the purpose of discussing a personnel matter. Seconded by
Meg Scharre. Motion passed.
Art
Dietz called the Special Meeting back to order at 11:00 a.m.
Motion:
Sally Reisz moved that the Senior Warden be
authorized to take the actions discussed in Executive Session and to report
back to the vestry as soon as possible. Seconded by Nick Baker. Motion passed.
The
vestry hereby spreads upon these minutes its heartfelt thanks to the Search
Committee for all its hard work on behalf of Calvary Church and especially to
Sally Reisz for her effective and efficient leadership as chair of the
Committee. The vestry also thanks Downey, Betsy and Holly Gray for their
gracious hospitality extended during the search process.
There
being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m. with closing
prayer by Senior Warden Art Dietz.
