Calvary Music Program
Choir
Calvary has been known for over 145 years as a place where fine music has been created, and we are proud and grateful to be able to carry on that tradition. The music ministry of excellence is one to which we all are totally dedicated, to the greater glory of God.
Composed of 40 members, and under the direction of Louisville Bach Society Director Melvin Dickinson, the Calvary Adult Choir continues to offer liturgical music of the highest excellence. We are most grateful to Melvin and all that he brings to Calvary.
Calvary Children's Choir
The Calvary Children's Choir is ably directed by Elyse Hensley. The children practice every Sunday at the beginning of Church School at 10:00, and sing at various times during the year at the 11:00 service. They most notably provide music for the Christmas Pageant and for Palm Sunday. All children are welcome.
Calvary Orchestra and Calvary Youth Orchestra
The Calvary Orchestra, under the direction of Professor Dickinson, and the Calvary Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Judy Pease Wilson, add a special touch of class to the Calvary Episcopal Church Music Program.
