Mission Statement of Calvary Episcopal Church
In thanksgiving for having been called as children of God to a life of service, we share with one another the love and obedience of Christ Jesus our Lord. This means that in Calvary Church, as a liturgical church seeking to bring Christ to a world in need, we believe that it is our mission to offer Him:
A. To an expanding circle of friends and acquaintances and to our immediate neighborhood through
- The worship of God in Word and Sacrament;
- Teaching and learning the Christian Life and the Church’s Tradition;
- The offering of choral and instrumental music;
- Care for one another through prayer, visitation, fellowship;
- Increasing participation by all members in the life and work of the Church.
- Increasing use of the church’s facilities and staff for ministry in the community at large;
- Increasing our direct aid and comfort to those in physical and emotional need;
- Encouraging and supporting the personal involvement of our members in vocations and avocations which work towards establishing Christ’s Kingdom on earth.
