May they rest in peace, and may light perpetual shine upon them.
The Burial Ground of Calvary Episcopal Church was dedicated on May 12, 1996. It is located at the southwest corner of the Calvary property. The Memorial Plaque, commemorating those whose ashes have been interred, is located on a wall in the South Tower of the Church, immediately adjacent to the Burial Ground.
Landscaping and care of the Burial Ground is under the oversight of the Burial Ground Committee, appointed by the Rector of Calvary, and approved by the Vestry.
The policies concerning the use of the Burial Ground are as follows:
1. The Burial Ground is available to all members of Calvary and their families.
2. The records of all burials will be maintained in the Parish Register.
3. A Memorial Plaque will contain the name and years of birth and death.
4. Ashes will be interred directly into the earth, without designated location.
5. A contribution of $500.00 is asked to cover the interment, the cost of the bronze name plate for the Memorial Plaque, and the maintenance of the dedicated area.
6. The Church welcomes monetary contributions for the beautification of the Burial Ground. However, no wreaths, plantings, floral arrangements, or mementos of any kind may be placed in the area.
In all circumstances, specific arrangements for interment of ashes will be made with the Rector of Calvary.
